In order for me to believe her, I demanded (okay, I meekly asked) that she showed me her phone. She obliged, and it was very sleek and beautiful, and it looked very, very, very expensive. It also included a leather case with Prada embossed on it. I was so, so jealous.

After seeing her ultra-chic cellie, I decided to google "designer phones." And to my amazement, there were other high-end designers doing the same thing as Prada. So, you can now match your designer accessories, fragrances and outfits with your cell phone. The designers below are now placing their names on mobile phones.

Addidas
Armani
Diane von Furstenberg
Dior
Dolce & Classic brands -- Boucheron, Elizabeth Arden, Emilio Pucci and Van Cleef & Arpels -- are launching new fragrances or coming out with limited editions of the classics. Coty will be releasing new fragrances for Celine Dion and Vera Wang. Christian Audigier will be launching a new perfume and cologne for Ed Hardy. Lastly, sultry Eve Mendes will be the new face of a well-known fashion and fragrance house.

The Report: Volume Three

Boucheron will be coming out with a new women's fragrance simply called B. The new perfume celebrates Boucheron's 150th anniversary and the 20th anniversary of its first fragrance. B features notes of "'cedar from the Atlas Mountains, Australian sandalwood, patchouli, osmanthus flowers, apricot and spices, plus orange blossom and rose absolutes,'" according to the Scented Salamander. Its bottle is inspired by a line of Boucheron's jewelry called Exquises Confidences. WWD mentioned that "B is the most expensive fragrance in Boucheron's scent portfolio, according to Marc Rey, ceo of YSL Beauté U.S.A. In the U.S., the 50-ml. eau de parfum spray will cost $110; the 100-ml. edp spray, $155; the 2-liter edp splash, $4,000; the 15-ml. perfume spray, $250; the 200-ml. bath and shower gel, $50, and the 200-ml. body cream, $90." Both types of oils produce wonderfully aromatic candles and offer candle buyers much variety when it comes to choosing a candle scent. However, these two types of oils are unique unto themselves so it's good to know the characteristics of each.

Fragrance oils are perfume oils. While some fragrance oil scents may contain all-natural oils, they are primarily synthetic in composition. Production of a synthetic scent comes about when chemists study a plant's components and then reproduces those components artificially.

What's great about fragrance oils is the endless variety of scents that result. Experimentation with different synthetic combinations yields many fine scents and scent combinations. Fragrance oils are great for producing pleasing berry and fruit scents, as these scents are not always obtainable naturally as essential oils. Fragrance oils are also long lasting and affordably priced.

Essential oils are natural chemicals that are the true essence of a plant. They are not oil-like as we often think of oil. They do not have a sticky, oily feel to them and are actually clearer in appearance. Some essential oils do have color to them. They come from the leaves, flowers, seeds, resin, stems, roots, and bark of botanicals. Essential oils are highly concentrated oils and are popular in aromatherapy. Extraction of essential oils from botanical sources takes place by one of four methods:

Steam distillation, which uses heat to draw out essential oils; this is the most common method used today.

Cold press extraction: This method removes oils from the skins of fruits without the damage heat can sometimes do.

Chemical solvent extraction: This method uses solvents such as alcohol to extract harder to get essential oils.

Effleurage method: This method involves odorless fats or oils absorbing the perfume of fresh flowers.

Essential oils and fragrance oils are similar in that they both provide wonderful scents for soy candles. Scent blends may contain some natural essential oil elements in combination with synthetic elements. Again, fragrance oils offer the opportunity to make many more scent types and combinations than pure essential oils.

Candles of Eden is the leading provider of wholesale and private label all natural soy candles. />The international terminal at the San Francisco International Airport is more than a pass through for passengers -- it is an international shopping destination. About a week ago, I had an opportunity to visit the main store in this terminal, DFS Duty Free Galleria. My plane was leaving in about two hours so I decided to kill some time by exploring this shop. I couldn't believe what was available in there. Nearly all of the items in the store were high-end products. It sold fine wines from the top wineries in California, high quality spirits from around the world and clothing and accessories from top designers, such as Burberry and Fendi.

As The Fragrance Man, the most important items in DFS were its fragrances. And, it had a very large selection of prestige scents. Some notable fragrances that were sold there were Flowerbomb by Viktor and Rolf, Gucci by Gucci and Polo by Ralph Lauren.

Unfortunately, there is one major drawback shopping at DFS; you cannot purchase anything there unless you're traveling to an international destination. I learned this from experience. I was about to buy a bottle of port, and the sales clerk told me no. I was very sad.

The next time you are traveling to a foreign country or coming back from your international spot, you must take the time to visit DFS Duty Free stores. Some people may think that men's stuff are rare and difficult to find the most suitable one, especially for perfume or fragrance which seem to belongs to women favourite. Can anybody clarify what the "fragrance" means? This generally includes any type of perfume or liquid substance which will be used to improve body scent. These are, for example, aftershave, cologne, perfume etc.

Due to the variety of fragrance selections, it is often seen that looking for an ideal one for you may not be an easy job. Once you learn more about the characteristics of each type of fragrance and able to understand your characteristics and needs, then you can start looking for your favourite fragrance.

However, the most important thing may be to get to know more about each type of fragrance. You have to identify about which type you will use. The usage may be on daily basis or occasionally. One of the most popular and well known men's fragrances is cologne. This type is very much similar to perfume, which normally used by women. The obvious difference may be that men's fragrance is much more strong and pricey than women's. We consider that cologne may not have long lasting effect as perfume and is normally has mild degree in scent. Cologne is preferably designed for men and used in more quantity. The cologne can be applied to some parts of skin to make it attractive but perfume has much stronger scent so we just use few drops.

These two types of fragrances can be used as substitution of each other but women mostly use perfume rather than these two. As today, there are many types of perfume for men, but many of them have turned out to be interested in using perfume. Also, the trend of using cologne still widely exists. The other type of fragrance for men is an aftershave. It is what can be used when a gentleman finish shaving by applying on the area that has been shaved. Even though aftershave may not be the fragrances that directly design for use as a fragrance, but it is used to maintain moisture and condition of the skin and this is the main purpose of aftershave.

However, aftershave is considered as one of the types of men's fragrance as it provides good and attractive scent and could be very long lasting. Therefore, many of aftershave manufacturers try to make aftershave to be more than what is used for maintaining skin condition, by adding scent into the liquid. So now aftershave is one of the most popular fragrances for men because they do not have to buy additional perfume or cologne but just use quality aftershave. In all, no matter which type of men's fragrance that you are using or planning to have one. It is necessary to know the difference of each type of them in order to choose the type that most fit to you.

Catherine Tyler is the professional freelance writer and also the webmaster of http://www.men-fragrance.com, where you can find several information of Designer Fragrance brands for Men

Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Catherine_Tyler
http://EzineArticles.com/?Mens-Fragrance-Ideal&id=1242645

Ad of the Week: Fahrenheit by Dior

Where did I get my info?
Youtube.com

I'm Back

I'm finally back from my vacation. Well, it wasn't a real vacation; I still had to work my "9-5" job. Unfortunately, my salary for maintaining and writing for fragranceman.com is zero. Hopefully, one day this will change. My time off from blogging did give me the opportunity to think about the future of this blog and my overall future in the fragrance industry. I think both of these futures will be very bright. Lastly, thank you all for reading and viewing fragranceman.com during my vacation.

Ciao,

The Fragrance Man

Ad of the Week: Sensational by Celine Dion

<span style="font-weight: bold; Like the clothes that their manufacturers produce, they are expensive and come in many varieties. It is not uncommon for people to own multiple fragrances at one time, perhaps each being used for a separate occasion.

A common question among women perfume lovers is how to know when perfume goes bad. The first indication a perfume is going bad usually comes from the individual's personal sense of smell and how they think that their perfume should smell like.

All perfumes smell slightly different to different noses and off of different skins, as the aroma mixes with natural human oils. It is also natural for the scent of a perfume to lose its effect, or change entirely, over time with an individual's palate. If you are not quite sure whether a perfume has gone bad or you're just getting tired of the smell, here are some ways to check your perfume out.

The first thing you can check is the color of the actual liquid that is inside the bottle. Check every now and then to see if the color of the liquid is turning darker. Generally, darker coloration to a perfume means that it is beginning to turn. Extreme heat and direct sunlight oxidizes the perfume. This causes the water and alcohol to evaporate and the oil to become unstable.

Another signal that this is happening is a sharp change in the aroma. If the color is turning only slightly, the life of the perfume still can be extended: don't throw it away yet. But if the odor becomes sour or has a vinegar smell, its time to dispose of it and move on to something new.

When fragrance is stored and handled properly it can and will last a very long time. Store your perfume at room temperature. If you are not sure about the temperature in your house or apartment, cooler is better than warmer. Liquids expand and contract with temperature changes, so avoid irregular shifts in temperature. You should always keep your perfume away from direct sunlight; store the perfume in a dark area of your bathroom.

Medicine cabinets are perfect for perfume storage. There is a reason, other than aesthetics, that designer boxes are becoming more and more ornate. Keeping the womens fragrance in its box or covered with a cloth will also extend the life. If you do not want to use the fragrance for a extended period you can store it in a closet or even refrigerate the perfume.

One of the biggest things to remember if you are a frequent perfume user is not to leave the fragrance in you car. Not only will this cause the cologne go bad quickly, but it can even explode from the heat. The perfume will get all over your car and you will end up hating the smell of your favorite women's or men's fragrance. This also goes for purses, bags and sunglasses, as well.

But if you're a heavy user of the discount fragrance and you turn it over quickly it will last long enough if left away from direct light. If you avoid extreme temperatures and direct light the fragrance should last a long time. Follow these simple rules and you should be able to enjoy your discount womens fragrances for years to come.

Get Discount Perfume from America's first Brand Name Fragrance wholesaler. Perfume bottle making is big business, and the leader in the perfume bottle making industry dating back to the nineteenth century has been Pochet SA of France.

The History Of The Pochet Perfume Bottle

Today Pochet is the perfume bottle provider for such perfume makers as Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, Calvin Klein, Coty, Dior, and Kenzo. The company is actually the descendant of two ouch older companies, Verreries du Courval which had originally been the maker of glass windows for the French aristocracy, and Pochet DeRoche, which in the 1830s was one of the leading producers of painted porcelain and glass luxury items in Paris. Pochet DeRoche became the Paris distributor of du Courval windows, and when du Courval entered the perfume bottle market at around that time, a partnership was inevitable.

The very first “designer” perfume was a Guerlain scent commissioned by the Empress Eugenie in 1858, and Geurlain commissioned du Courval to create the first designer perfume bottle for it. The limited edition “Eau de Cologne Imperiale” sent du Courval to the top of the list of perfume bottle makers.

Until the 1930s, when the company changed its name to Pochet and dropped its porcelain business to specialize in the perfume bottle market, it had handcrafted its perfume bottles from blow molded glass, and even today some of its limited editions of perfume bottles have hand made elements. But its 21st century state-or-the-art factory has enabled it to keep satisfying a perfume bottle market which requires more and more exotically designed bottles.

Pochet and Lalique

The 1930s brought with them the Great Depression and a serious decline in US perfume sales. For the French perfumers who survived, the machine made perfume bottle was an economic necessity, and perfume bottle makers began to look to Hollywood for inspiration. Lalique, which Pochet would buy some six decades later, came out with a perfume bottle for the 1932 Worth’s classic scent Je Reviens was of dark blue ribbed glass shaped toe resemble a New York City skyscraper, and was packaged in a chrome-finished box.

Lalique is still one of the most respected designers of premier quality perfume bottles, and attempts to imbue each perfume bottle with the feel of the fragrance it contains, because the perfume bottle is the consumer’s introduction to the scent inside, and will often be what draws a customer to purchase it.

You can also find more info on Versace Perfume and Wholesale Perfume Oils. My favorite and established design houses have launched and will be launching new fragrances. Bobbie Brown, Dsquared2 and Jean Paul Gaultier are coming out with new perfumes and colognes. Famous and luxury non-fragrance brands will be launching new fragrances soon. Porsche will be introducing a speedy new cologne for men, and Waterford, known for its expensive and "the establishment" crystal ware, will be launching a new perfume. Thierry Mugler has partnered with Swarovski Crystal. Another celebrity, tennis star Gabriela Sabatini, is launching a fruity scent. Lisa Hoffman, known for her beauty products, has created cutting edge perfume kits. Finally, a youthful classic perfume by Annick Goutal has turned 10 years old. For more information about this news, read "The Weekend Report."

The Weekend Report: May 11 - May 17

Annick Goutal's Petite Chérie is 10 years old. This classic is a blend of "rose, pear and green freshness." To celebrate its anniversary, its bottle will be adorned with angels, pears and roses. (Osmoz.com)

Argentine tennis star Gabriela Sabatini will launch Latin Dance in June. Her fruity perfume is a blend of kiwi, papaya, pomegranate, bamboo, lily of the valley, hibiscus, orchid, woods and amber. It will be available as an Eau de Toilette and the perfume will be housed in 20, 30 and 60 ml bottles.

Bobbi Brown, the cosmetics goddess, has launched a new perfume that is perfect for work and for individuals who are sensitive to fragrances. This perfume is called Almost Bare, and it is a floral fragrance that "features a delicate balance of inspiring Italian Bergamot blended with Violet Leaves to relax and soothe the senses. The scent is enhanced by a note of Soft Muguet and gentle Jasmine Petals, with a Soft Cedar and Warm Amber background." It is available as a 1.5 oz. Eau de Parfum for $60. (Scented Salamander, Bobbi Brown)

Dsquared2 will launch a feminine companion of its debut fragrance, He Wood. The new fragrance will be called She Wood, and its notes feature three accords: "light (lemon, jasmine, neroli), sap (violet, heliotrope and musk) and wood (cedar, vetiver and vegetable amber)." It will be available as an Eau de Parfum and its juice will be in 30, 50 and 100 ml bottles.

Jean Paul Gaultier has introduced a new summer fragrance for men called Eau de Cologne du Male. (Scented Salamander)

Lisa Hoffman has created the "Variations" kits. Each fragrance in each kit will represent different parts of the day: morning, work day, evening and night variations. This line comes as three scents: Tunisian Neroli (orange blossom, amber and lemon), French Clary Sage (linen, cotton, bergamot and sage) and Tuscan Fig (fig, white flowers, vanilla and precious woods). (Osmoz.com)

Waterford, the famous and upscale crystal ware maker, will be debuting a fragrance called Lismore. Waterford's Master Craftmen will give the fragrance's bottle an unique design. After the perfume is gone, the crystal bottle transforms into an exquisite vase. "'Primary top notes' are water lily, freesia, ylang ylang, rose, and mandarin; 'Primary middle notes' are carnation, peony, night blooming jasmine; 'Primary base notes' are orchid vanilla, precious woods, musk, and violet."
