The Traveling Perfume -- A Mystery and Review

I couldn't place the smell of this perfume. Its scent was luxurious, intoxicating and complex. I noticed its presence while I was doing my regular “9-5” job. Of course, you probably want to know more how this scent “invaded” my personal space.

My job requires me to visit different localities in the Las Vegas area. So, most of my day is spent on the road. About a week ago, while I was driving around Sin City, a luxurious feminine scent suddenly hit my nose. It was pleasant and very floral. I was wearing Marc Jacobs Violet, which did have a slight hint of a floral note. So, I thought that it must have been this unisex fragrance. However, the scent's note was a little too floral. So, this conclusion was ruled out.

The scent eventually resided, and it appeared again when I'd visited a promotion company on South Arville, which is near the Las Vegas Strip. When I walked into the entrance of this company's office, an attractive middle-aged woman greeted me. I noticed that the office was quite fragrant. Hints of cinnamon and other herb notes were abundant. Suddenly, the scent escaped from its mysterious place and hit my nose again. I assumed the beautiful receptionist was wearing this luxurious concoction. However, when I left the office, the scent lingered and it disappeared twenty minutes later. So, this conclusion was ruled out.

About two hours later I was picking up a package from the Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino's bellhop desk. When I first arrived to my destination, the scent resurfaced. It appeared to be coming from a cute young Latina woman who was working behind the desk. The young woman told me that the package needed to be retrieved from another area and it would take a few minutes for her to get it. When she left, the seductive scent still lingered. So, it must not have been her. Then, I wondered if I was being followed by a scented spirit. Of course, I ruled out this hypothesis since it was a mere superstitious thought. Then, I extrapolated that since I sniffed hundreds of fragrances, my mind created a false scent, which tricked my sense of smell. I assumed it was similar to phantom limb phenomenon, a condition where unfortunate souls still feel their amputated limbs.

After I received my package from Planet Hollywood, I felt something unusual in my jacket's pocket. This thing felt hard. I pulled out the object from my pocket, and I realized that I was the carrier of the scent. Burberry's London for women was the scent.

Reprint and Fragrance Education: Men Buying Make Up

Men's Guide to Buying Makeup Online

By Lee Gilson

With Christmas coming up I thought I would go and buy my long suffering wife some make up for Christmas. Now being a man I'm no expert on the subject but I had a quick look at the make up my wife owned to get an idea of colours, brand etc and thought I was being a bit clever! After going to several shops I couldn't believe how much branded make up cost. So I went home and decided to look online instead.

I found a site, made a purchase and two days later a package arrived and is now under the tree waiting to score brownie points. I couldn't believe how easy it was (no shopping which we blokes hate anyway) and almost 50% off what they were charging in the shops.

So I thought I would write a quick guide so other men (and women even!) can make the same savings.

When buying makeup online its important to make sure you are not buying a sample or tester. Believe it or not there are web sites out there selling testers with nice white labels. Now if you are unfortunate enough to by one of these and give it to you beloved then my advice would be to take cover!

Also how do you know the web site is trust worthy? You pay your money but will you get the make up? Well there are a couple of things you can test to make sure the website is an established company. Firstly do a search in google with the site name, if the site has a long list other sites linking to it then this is a good indication the site is well established. You can even do a search on the whois database to see how long the site has been up.

Is the site secure when making payments? Alot of sites use SSL (secure socket layer) to secure there online payments that's the padlock in the browser. This is important if payments are taken on the site. BUT many online makeup companies use an external payment provider like paypal, world pay, secure pay etc so you order the make up go to their site to make a payment then return to the make up site. Rule of thumb here is along as there is a padlock when making the payment your ok.

My wife is mad on Benefit cosmetics personally this means nothing to me but apparently it's a well known branded makeup. I managed to buy it online at a 50% discount, don't know how they do it and to be honest I don't really care! But take a look for yourself Cheap Benefit Make Up

So for all you Men out there desperate for Christmas present ideas go along to http://www.discountcosmetics4u.co.uk and have a look for yourself!

The List: Chloe

Chloe is one of the most influential design houses in the fashion world. Founded in 1952 by Gaby Aghion, this fashion house was known to employ hot, young designers in the late 1950s and 1960s. It also introduced ready-to-wear high fashion to the public during this time period. In 1966, Chloe hired Karl Lagerfeld to be its head designer. Under his direction, it became one of the most iconic brands in the 1970s. During this period, Chloe launched its first fragrance, Chloe. In 1996, Stella McCartney took creative control over the design house. During her tenure, she elevated Chloe to new heights with her ready to wear designs. McCartney named Phoebe Philo as her successor in 2001. She was responsible for creating its first “it bags,” which included the famous Paddington purse. After Philo's departure in 2006, she was replaced by Paulo Melim Andersson. His mission was to find a new direction for the House of Chloe. I present fragrances made by Chloe.

All brands and bottle shapes will be accepted. Her company is the first to embark on this type of recycling effort. "As I become more aware of the issues facing our environment, I feel compelled on a personal and business level to participate in the green movement--and assume a leadership role," said Rahme. Bloggers Unite: An Act of Kindness

Dear Readers,

Today is a very special day for all bloggers. We share our collective stories that show our acts of kindness to our fellow human beings. Well, here is my story, a very simple story.

I am currently experiencing one of the toughest moments in my life. I have left a good paying and stable job about 18 months ago, closed my business due to a lack of money, ended a long relationship, dealt with a death of a closed relative and won't be visiting my family this holiday season. Despite these tribulations, I have managed to give to the needy. So, what am I doing? Well, this year I have given away clothes and food to a local charity. Also, I have become a volunteer for the local art museum. I believe that all museums are the showcases of civil society. So, these are my simple acts of kindness, and I encourage everyone to do the same. Simple kind acts from many people can make our world a better place.

Hugs,

The Fragrance Man

Lolita Lempicka Eau de Minuit -- A Review

When I think of Lolita Lempicka Eau de Minuit, also known as L'Eau de Minuit, the word forbidden comes to mind. Its bottle is shaped like an apple, which is considered to be a forbidden fruit in some religious traditions. The first name of the fragrance, Lolita, is the title of a novel where the protagonist has forbidden desires. The juice of the fragrance is very sexual, and this trait is forbidden in some cultures. Lolita Lempicka has made a very intelligent and alluring perfume for all women who like to be forbidden, or do forbidden actions, occasionally.

Launched in 2004 as a limited edition, L'Eau de Minuit is the nocturnal version of Lolita Lempicka. This perfume has been characterized by many perfume critics as being sensual and very voluptuous. It begins with anise, ivy and myrrh. Myrrh gives it a scented lush feel. The middle notes are licorice blossom, iris concrete, amarena and jasmine. Jasmine transforms this fragrance into a “night” scent. Finally, it dries down to tonka bean, musk, benzion and vanilla. Benzoin makes L'Eau de Minuit very sensual. Its juice is housed in a sexy dark violet-hue apple-shaped bottle.

So, what do I think of this fragrance? I love it, and I think every sex goddess should wear it. Even though I am obvious of the male persuasion, I can imagine myself as a voluptuous young woman, and using this fragrance as “the-night-on-the-town” perfume. I know that by wearing it, I would attract the hottest guys at all my night spots. This fragrance is really that alluring. I highly recommend Lolita Lempicka Eau de Minuit for all foxy ladies who want to invite all men, and a few women, to their forbidden lairs at night.

It comes as a 40 ml and 80 ml eau de parfum and as a mini-bottle as a perfume extrait. This fragrance can be found at most online perfumeries.

Reprint and Fragrance Education: Personalized Fragrances

Personalized Fragrances Make an Exceptional Gift Idea

By Anna Woodward

Everyone struggles when it is time to pick out a unique gift for that special someone in their lives. When you are looking to show someone how much you care for them, it is important to select a gift which shows you put thought and consideration into it.

One of the most unique and intimate gifts you can give someone is the gift of a personalized fragrance. Personalized perfumes show the person you are buying for that you thought about them specifically and selected something unique just for them.

Creating your own fragrance is a relatively new thing to come onto the gift market. In years past, you simply went to the local mall to pick out a fragrance. You smelled the bottles, did some test sprays on your wrist, and chose the one which you liked the smell of best.

If you were a person of means, then you could have your own scent developed. The cost was relatively high, and it was generally not done for the average person. However, now you can easily, and relatively inexpensively, mix a custom made scent in many local shops and even online.

Everyone has their own unique style and way of being in this world. The perfume you wear is enjoyable to your own senses, and also shares a bit about you with those you come into contact with in your day to day life.

There are many different scents which you can choose from to create just that perfect personalized fragrance. Generally the specialists at a perfumery know exactly how to mix and match to create a custom perfume which smells divine. By combining their professional knowledge and your choices, you can create a personalized perfume which you will love.

When creating a personalized fragrance it is important to realize that perfume smells differently on each person who wears it. The scent is determined by both the perfume contents and the individual body chemistry of the person wearing it.

This is why a perfume which you love may not smell the same on one of your friends, and your friends perfume may not smell the same on you either. The scent of the perfume is all about your body chemistry, and no two people have the exact same body chemistry as each other.

If you are creating a personalized fragrance for someone as a gift, you might consider having a couple of variations of the same general fragrance made. This allows the wearer to have a selection of fragrances to wear depending on their mood and what they will be doing on that day.

Just as you do not wear the same clothing or jewelry each day, the same should be true for your fragrance; it is always fun to have a bit of variety.

Another bonus of being able to inexpensively create your own scent is where your favorite scent, or the one of someone you love, has been discontinued by its original maker. You can have a professionally mixed aroma made to mimic that discontinued fragrance! This makes a wonderful gift for someone and shows them that you have heard their complaints about their beloved perfume being discontinued.

The gift of a personalized perfume shows someone that you really put thought into their gift. It truly is a gift you cannot go wrong with.

Personalized fragrances are unique and say just who you are. Visit Vinci & Rakos Fragrances at http://www.whomakessense.com to choose the blend of scents to make a statement. We have always created our scents with natural botanical extracts for an unprocessed and pure perfume.

Le Petit Prince B612: A Review

B612 is the asteroid home of the Little Prince and his delicate rose. As a ruler and caretaker of this asteroid, he has taken on adult roles. However, his curiosity about the universe shows his “little boyness.”

Le Petit Prince B612 by Unipar and distributed by Berjang truly embodies the spirit of the Little Prince. Berjang mentions that B612 is for “boys aged 6-12. Sparkling and fun, like them. Full of energy and color. For little boys who are already big, Saint-Exupery starts his story with these words: 'Once when I was six…'” This fragrance has notes of tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, orange, mint, jasmine, moss and musk.

What do I personally think of this fragrance? Whenever I sniff it, I am always taken aback. Its scent is very sophisticated, and I usually expect this trait from adult fragrances. When it dries to its base notes, it smells sweet like an innocent child between the age 6-12.

Le Petit Prince B612 also resembles my older nephew's personality. Being the right age for this fragrance, he is a serious young man. He has a rather large vocabulary for his age, enjoys reading good books and consoles adults when they are mourning. He is a true little man. However, he occasionally transcends his “little maness” and becomes a little boy again, which means playing, running and screaming. Therefore, Le Petit Prince B612 not only symbolizes the spirit of the Little Prince, it represents all intelligent little men. It is the perfect fragrance for boys who are used to niche and luxurious objects.

Le Petit Prince B612 is available as a 3.4 oz. bottle for $29.00. It also comes in two great gift sets, a rucksack and bath sets. You can purchase it directly from Berjang or other fine retailers and perfumeries. I highly recommend this fragrance for all “little men.”
